Watercolor en Plein Air
Instructor: Bonny Lundy

This class will provide demonstrations and discussions on creating outdoor travel sketches using pencil, watercolor and ink. We will draw & paint he fabulous architecture combined with the natural landscape of this region incorporating the figure when possible.

We will begin by creating journals filled with drawing and composition studies completed at many beautiful locations, learning to select and edit scenes suitable for paintings. On-site color drawing with the brush to encourage spontaneity and expression will also be important. We will return to the same sites to complete more developed paintings. In the studio, watercolor techniques for landscape elements and color mixing will be practiced. Open to all levels of experience, this class will emphasize the development of personal style.
