Peter Schroth
Painting - Landscape Painting: The Quick Study

Peter Schroth has been involved with plein air painting for fifteen years and has painted on location in France, Spain, Ireland, Nova Scotia, Maine, Colorado and Arizona. He received his B.F.A from Syracuse University and his M.F.A. from the University of Colorado. Mr. Schroth has been teaching since 1981, having had full-time appointments at the University of South Florida and the Savannah College of Art and Design. He has also taught numerous workshops dealing with landscape. He currently is Senior Visiting Lecturer at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

Mr. Schroth is the recipient of numerous awards including two Fellowship Grants from the Pollock Krasner Foundation, a Grant of Support from the Elizabeth Foundation, and an Individual Artist Grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. He has also received residency fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, Millay Colony, Ballinglen Arts Foundation and Yaddo.

Mr. Schroth now lives and works in Brooklyn NY and is represented by Sears Peyton Gallery, NYC.
