| The Amalfi Coast Music Festival is pleased to once again welcome students
of the Hotchkiss School in 2008 for another collaborative summer arts experience
in the incomparable setting of the Italian Mediterranean. Students adopt the rhythms
of daily life in southern Italy, surrounded by rich cultural landmarks and stunning
landscapes. While engaging in their chosen course of study, they will thrive in
the stimulating environment of a classical music festival, with daily concerts,
master classes, and lectures in music, art history and architecture.
The
Summer Arts Program offers options in both music and art history in an intensive
study format. Daily classes will be interspersed with excursions to the most significant
points of interest in the area, where students visit museums, architectural ruins,
temples and palaces at the world-famous sites of Pompeii, Naples, Capri, Ravello,
and more. Music

piano faculty Fabio Witkowski
and Gisele Nacif Witkowski
return to oversee the music program, offering a full-immersion study experience
in piano and a chance to interact with festival musicians of all ages and levels.
The Witkowskis balance their roles in Italy as coordinators of the Summer Arts
program with their participation in the music festival as key performers.
